Camping Dijk en Meer

Between old VOC towns, on the beautiful IJsselmeer, lies Camping Dijk & Meer: a cosy family campsite a.k.a. free state where you truly unwind. Reception is housed in an old Vienna tram — once you're past it, you enter another world where nothing is required and much is allowed.

An unusual campsite in an unexpected place

The spacious pitches offer plenty of privacy, with an atmosphere that sits somewhere between a free zone, a festival, and live-and-let-live. In the evening, frogs treat you to a concert by the campfire — bringing you back to life. All this near Andijk, between the outer and inner dike around the IJsselmeer.

Food and fire

Start your morning with a coffee from our coffee bar. In the evening, the pizza ovens and fire bowls are ready for you to bake your own pizza or simply sit by the fire. Sometimes a chef is on hand to spoil you.

Always something to do

Yoga in the morning, sound baths or a breathwork session in the dome later in the day. A local hairdresser cuts hair right on the campsite. There are also creative workshops, regular campfires with live music, and a changing programme of retreats each season.

Action for the kids

Chess, a fox hunt through the reeds, campfire stories, puppet shows — the programme changes each season and partly unfolds on the spot (check the board by the tram). There's playground equipment, and in the evening kids can bake bread on a stick over the fire. Right next to the campsite is holiday park Grootslag, with a playground, pony ranch, tennis court, mini-golf and bowling.

Swimming in the IJsselmeer

The Vooroever is suitable for children, and along the dike you'll find several swimming jetties — the first just a 5-minute walk away. Indoor swimming is available at the neighbouring holiday park's pool. The campsite has two well-maintained sanitary buildings.
